Well, uh, I don't know who you are, so I'd be surprised if you knew me...

then it looks to this mousie as if you have another person who enjoys what you enjoy (if it's the same fandom) and you should not worry about what someone on a board says.

if it's not the same fandom, then just realize there are plenty of us fans out there in fandomworld who enjoy pairings that may not be considered mainstream. that person is just one. ignore them and write what you want to write. who knows? you may be able to convert fans. I've had that happen to me.
