...I lold at FIYAH AND BLOOD

I think the whole readership realized way too early that Dany, Jon, and Tyrion were GRRM's favourites, so making them the heads would run counter to the "anyone can die" theme he's got going. "Anyone can die but the author's favourites" is... a great deal less compelling.

I'm rooting for Team Winter Comes and Everyone is Too Busy Fighting to do Anything About It and They All Die.

And everyone gets turned into zombies (because srsly. Though no one listens to me, the amount of zombie-like creatures in these books baffles me)

I am totally on this. I literally hate everyone in these books now that I just want everyone to die, and the people north of the wall to come down and settle in and rule.

THIS FOREVER.

I have been stanning for the people of north of the wall since the second book. They deserve it

I haven't even read the books yet, only watched the TV show and yeah, even I realized halfway through season 1 that those must be GRRM's favourite characters.

Oh don't worry, GRRM's a cruel bastard. No matter what the ending is, everyone will be upset.

Tyrion used to be one of my favourite characters in ASoIaF, but I am so done with him after DWD. His character arc did not go where I expected.

(It was kind of impressive, actually. I genuinely thought his story was going to be one of the most moving in the books. At the start of DWD when he's finally had to confront what happened to Tysha? So ready to be moved by his complicated story about consent and being both victim and perpetrator. Aaaaand then he's suddenly raping a slave girl, and I'm completely done with him and no longer give a fuck So yeah - let him burn.)

THIS. I actually found him compelling until DWD.

But then DWD was just him wandering around, moaning about life, and fucking people. Suddenly I realized why all my friends hated him.

...I always kind of saw his character going that way, though, and I'm surprised more people didn't. He's almost as shitty a person as his siblings, and unlike Jaime he's never gone through a redemption arc. He's just forgiven because he's funny! And deformed!

/hated Tyrion before it was cool

I never thought he was a good person, he's too bitter and tormented for any real altruism. But I thought he had the capacity to learn not to keep passing the abuse down the ladder himself. Turns out nope.

This. I found him a compelling character to read about - as the only Lannister who appears to care about ruling well - only so that it kept them in power longer.

I was secretly hoping he and Sansa would work out, so that he would be the one to show her how to badass, and the two of them would kill Cersei together.

But. Nope. Instead of got creeper Petyr and annoying as fuck slave!Tyrion.

Yeah, same. He can be entertaining to read about, but I've been side-eying him since at least Storm of Swords.

I don't think I ever got over him raping Tysha and not calling it rape and then he finally called it rape when he found out she wasn't a whore. Tyrion don't know shit about whores, no matter how much he thinks he does.

I think I'd like him (or at least find him compelling as a character) if I wasn't always worried GRRM agreed with him/he's the author's fav. It's a trap Jon, Arya, and Dany fall into for me a lot of the time but they've never done shit quite as gross.

Thank you. I cannot even count the ways I'm so done with Tyrion after ADWD. And knowing he's the favorite makes me SO UNCOMFORTABLE, because I can't be sure GRRM's deconstructing him or not.

I'd really like for his arc to take him someplace else, but then again I want that for most of the Lannisters, lol. But yeah, Tyrion as a dragon head... most of the dragon's head theories piss me off, tbh.

More Lannisters ftw! The younger adult generation are my top three favourite characters (Tyrion very much in first, then Jaime who overtook Cersei due to his actor's awesomeness).

I'm still waiting to ADWD to come out in bloody paperback (was supposed to be in Aug, now pushed back to March) so I haven't read it yet but yeah, I have issues with the secret Targ theory.

That said, I do feel like there is a damn good chance it's going to be true. Certainly I'm 99% positive that Jon is a secret Targ and if he's one of the heads too, it makes sense that they would all be Targs.

Also so glad we are saying Targ and not trying to spell the whole damn name out XD

A+ on the composition of this secret. As for the content, I completely agree. I hate hate hate the theory that Tyrion is a secret Targ and he'll get to ride a dragon and be a super hero who saves the day. It turns his character arch into total cheese wish fulfillment and after the thorough ugliness of some of his actions, I don't want to see him rewarded with his wildest dreams coming true.

I'm kind of for the idea that the other two heads aren't actually Targs but two people close to Dany who prove themselves badass enough to command a dragon (I'm for Ser Barristan and Missandei because I love them). I know it sounds absurd but hey, you never know.

Also really not an Aegon fan.....

I couldn't care less if he's one of the dragon heads, but if he dies, I'm done.

As much as I actually like Tyrion (yeah... I'm still like, WAY EARLY in A Storm of Swords and it sounds like this might change in a future book) I kind of have to agree. :(

I don't particularly want him to die a dragon-firey death, but I must say I'm not really a fan of the idea of him being one of the heads either. Too easy, too cliche. (OR JON, JUST WHILE WE'RE ON THE SUBJECT. Like [..SPOILERS FOR POPULAR FAN-THEORIES], if R+L dooooes turn out to be true and he's a secret Targ, then fine. But the Jon/Dany ship that like half the fandom seems to long for? I can't even explain why but I am SO not a fan of the idea that it actually bugs me a bit =/)

Him dying would greatly upset me... so my money's on it happening for cheap shock value. :(
