I wonder why that is? I guess I know what I'm googling tonight! :)

If I try peeling from the stem half the time the top part gets smushy. I've never had a smashed bit on the bottom. I only use my thumb and forefinger and it doesn't take all that much pressure. Even for bananas that are still a little green.

Heh, I'm having a banana for dessert after dinner, and I'll try again to peel it from the bottom :D

Update: Once again the bottom ended all smushed and the banana broke in two while I was trying to finish peeling it. I guess I'll keep doing it from the stem xD

Aw! I'm sorry! And kinda confused. Perhaps bananas or hands are made different where we're from? It might just be that we've both been doing it our ways so long it's too unfamiliar to switch over easily?
