MLP:FiM Crystal Pony Empire

So the slight spoilers about the new season have been out for a while now...I think it's safe to mention it here.

The "super special ponies appearing from the mist" really reminds me of the original series, I have to say. I've seen some dislike of this, but I actually like the idea. I'm not surprised Cadance is also a crystal pony. I'm wondering if the others will look more like her? It's pretty blatantly a new reason to sell toys, though.

/Perhaps the flutterponies will actually make it into this series. Or at least Wind Whislter /o/

Wind Whistler!! The Vulcan pony! I love her. Her, and Gusty were my favourites.

But yes, FiM, I like the idea of expanding the types of ponies (even if it is born out of Hasbro's marketing scheme) and I'm very much looking forward to the new series.

She was my favorite as a kid, too!

And yes, it would be nice. I'm hoping they're a bit different than the three races shown so far.

I hadn't heard that info yet. Crystal ponies? I'd rather see them expand on the types of ponies we're already seen in-universe - seriously, I want zebra backstory - but it sounds cool. Is there a solid season 3 start date yet?

Besides that, I DEMAND SMOOZE

I would be the happiest if the Smooze made an appearance as a major villain, complete with song. It would be beautiful.

Release date no. What was released is the basic plot of the two parter episode(s). A kingdom appears randomly up north and Celestia sends Twilight and co to find out what it is. Cadance is connected to them somehow...(She's offhandly mentioned in the Crystal Pony song that was shown at CC) They end up having to find the 'Crystal Heart' to save the Crystal ponies from some sort of doom. I'm guessing it's going to be Cadance...what with her crystal heart cutie mark and whatnot. :x
