The lack of Thor centered fic in Thor fandom. The lack of Thor centered fic in Avengers fandom. ... And the lack of shipping fic involving Thor that isn't Thor/Loki in both of those fandoms. (Though I do admittedly ship it, I want Steve/Thor! Or maybe Natasha/Thor! SOMETHING ELSE.)

Thor was made to be multi-shipped imo. I'd say "You have no idea how upset I was when I found fandom and realized he was almost completely ignored," but you do, apparently. ;_; Fandom! *shakes fist at sky*

I especially hate that no fics explore his angst and massive pile of issues and woobiness, especially post-Avengers. Seriously, if my little sister went postal, tried to kill me, killed a load of people, and tried to conquer a planet, I would be fucked-up beyond all belief, not sitting around munching pop-tarts.

I was delighted that Steve/Thor caught on as a somewhat common thing, but I'm sad that Natasha/Thor isn't more popular, 'cause there's sooooo much potential.

I also totally ship Tony/Thor for the porns. Like, I just like to imagine them having loads of epic friendly non-romantic no-bullshit post-battle warrior-ish sex with the kind of property-destruction and acrobatics and I-dare-you-on-your-pride ambitious positions and back-breaking contortionism with bonus size-kink that reminds Tony that Sometimes Gods Are Just Plain Better Than Humans and he's waaaaaaay too old for this shit.

Yes! It just doesn't seem right that Loki gets such a large majority of the angst when Thor went through so much because of his brother and would be the perfect candidate for hurt/comfort fic. Obviously people like what they like, but I can't help but feel that fandom dropped the ball on this one.

There needs to be more fic with Thor period, really. Just...in any and every pairing. :/

Haven't read any Tony/Thor yet, but you paint an extremely compelling (and in character from the sounds of it) picture. ~~The only thing is I ship Tony with Pepper and really only Pepper. But I'd ship Thor with pretty much anyone. Need to work on turning my brain off for porn!~~

I don't mind the sunny happy fluffy cheerful Thor all on his own, because he's adorable and I really like seeing Thor being happy because he's so lovable and endearing when he's happy, I just hate that happy!Thor isn't balanced out by angsty!Thor. :( My favorite fic would be where Thor is miserable and all fucked-up after the Avengers but sloooowly gets better with the help of the Avengers and his old pals.

Oh :) the Tony/Pepper brain-turning-off took me a while too. They were just so cute that breaking them up even for the sake of porn felt like puppy-kicking. My favorite headcanon to console myself is a breakup of convenience thing rather than a personal thing. Like "Whoa okay too busy on opposite sides of the country with too much insane shit going on rn let's quit while we're ahead." Cause it's sort of a scenario that makes sense, but doesn't contain the message that things fundamentally have to be that way, so there's no surreptitious implied ship-bashing.

Agreed on all accounts. Thor is one of the best characters to write sunny fluffy cheerful fic about, but a little angst can be a good thing! Variety is the spice of life, etc etc. It's just nice to have a change of pace sometimes. And that kind of fic is exactly what I've been wanting since Avengers.

This is a good headcanon! I LIKE IT! *insert Thor smashing glass gif here* Admittedly I'd probably add Tony/Pepper getting back together after the Tony/Thor sex, but...at least there would be sex?

Hopefully this will be fixed with the new movie coming out. At least, I hope it will.

I've given up hope for the Marvel movie-verse fandom. I'm not saying there isn't plenty of great content to go around, but not much of it suits my personal interests and I've my doubts the next Thor movie will change anything in regards to fandom. :/

not all of these are specifically written as Thor-centric, but I tried to find all the stories I have saved that have awesome!Thor, or, even if he's clueless about midgardian social cues, he's not stupid (for example, there's one that's Darcy/Bruce, but Thor shows up and his parts are awesome) along with Thor!centric fic. I hope that's okay? Also, I don't have time right now to post a description of every fic, but I hopefully am posting links that lead to summaries. (Links in next two comments, separated by type).
