The two most popular ships are things I find a) incredibly squicky and b) incredibly OOC. The third most popular ship is actually MY ship, but it's full of idiots who rant on about how "wrong" and "gross" the two most popular ships are and pat each other on the back for being Superior Het Canon Shippers and then write reams of OOC shmoopy overdramatic mush and I'm just embarrassed to be lumped in with them and their superiority complex.

And The Fic in my fandom is all about the most popular ship, which is the one I find squickiest, so I haven't read it and can't bring myself to. D:

I also can't seem to find goodfic that doesn't fall into one of three (VERY TIRED) plots, but that might just be my problem and not the fandom's.

sounds a bit like my fandom, but my ship IS the most popular ship

which is really not as great as it sounds for reasons similar to above.
