I can't say for sure since I'm not the OP, but definitely think it is. The Avengers was released on DVD recently, the screencap is from it, the description of Loki as "smug" and "confident", and how the OP has been hearing about the movie for the past few months (Thor has been out for well over a year).

I haven't seen The Avengers yet, admittedly, so I wrongly assumed the screenshot to be from Thor. ;; I don't even know if The Avengers is out on DVD here (Germany)!

I only got around to seeing it myself a couple of days ago, so I totally understand ^_^;

I think it should be out! It's out here in Sweden, in any case, so the same probably goes for the rest of Europe.

I have to say this anon because I'll be mauled otherwise but I found Joss' commentary to be dull and pretentious.

I like Joss's work, but listening to him be self-deprecating and yet weirdly pompous for two and a half hours of audio commentary was too much for me. A lot of what he said was interesting, but it was couched in so much… Jossness that it got tiring. (Not that I think I could do audio commentary any better, mind you.)

(FWIW, my favorite DVD audio commentary ever was Fired Up! because they were so hilariously bitter about how poorly the movie did and were just making fun of themselves the whole time.)

Does The Avengers DVD have a commentary with the cast? I love hearing from the actors and I bet this group would be amazing.

Also, Fired Up! had commentary on the DVD? I don't have the DVD, but the outtakes I've seen were really funny.

Sadly, no. Unless there's some commentary track I haven't found yet. They totally would have been amazing.

well, that makes sense then. This was the first time I'd tried to listen to him talk for any length of time when there weren't a lot of other people on a panel with him.
