Ruffalo seems like a fun, friendly guy, and most of fandom was really taken with his performance as Banner, so...that right there might make him appeal to people that might not usually find him physically attractive. And of course there are plenty of people with different taste than you that might find him hot as hell, personality and acting skills aside. You aren't obligated to be attracted to anyone though; everyone's taste is different. *shrugs*

As long as you aren't a dick about it, I don't see the problem.

Personally, I find him adorable.
