Re: Sorry I just really need to rant.

It's hard for me to suggest anything when I don't know the layout of the house, but my main suggestion would be can she not leave breakables out in the open? It's just not a good idea to have those out where a cat can get to them.

If they are things she wants out on display, I'd suggest getting a display case. My Grandmother did that when she started having grandkids, this is just the sort of stuff you need to do when you have pets or small children around.

Otherwise, yeah, if she gives up on the cat tell her she MUST give it to someone else and it should absolutely not be put outside again.

I can understand your frustration though, I don't want to speak ill of your mother but I really have trouble with people who want a pet but can't deal with the issues that come with it. They are animals, they're not really going to respect your property or your human rules (cats are especially good and pretending they understand they misbehaved but then they'll do things behind your back.)

Sorry again for the TMI...

I don't even know exactly where they are talking about. I don't even want to try suggesting she move anything, She'll start acting like a petty, ragey, teenager.(I love my mom, but she hasn't been in the best emotional, or mental state since we lost my older brother in a car accident. Sometimes she's Mom, but more and more she's been immature, obnoxious, and when she drinks down right terrifying, but refuses to get help though she knows she needs it.)

I've already told them they absolutely can't put the cat back out. Out here, and as long as she's been inside something will kill her.

Like I said above, while they aren't abusive, I really don't think my parents are the kind of people who should have pets. Sometimes I really don't think she even wanted the cat. I'm going to start asking friends in the area if they know anyone who wants a cat tomorrow. I'm just so frustrated right now. Dad knows how much I hate her doing things like that, and still called me about the cat.
