(Anonymous) 2012-10-01 05:27 am (UTC)(link)I didn't feel very sympathetic towards him in that movie, but even less so in Avengers. At least in Thor there was a sort-of feeling like he WAS legitimately just trying to be more than the Well Done Son Guy tv tropes etc and be all well-intentioned but then in Avengers he just came off as, welp, that plans fucked, guess its time to take over the world with some aliens. (OFCOURSE.AVI)
Granted, he was quite entertaining in a smarmy mastermind kind of way, but ALL these movies have had great villains. (Except maybe Ironman 2, Vanko blaugh, worst part of the movie. Hammer was great though)
