Yeah. It would have been nice to see more than one female lead--even if they felt that would negatively impact sales, it's not like Zero's gender is entirely obvious. I thought during the opening it would be cool if he were a girl. I like Maya, but she's pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a Smurfette. A thin-as-rails, completely obscured woman would be a neat change of pace.

Really Zero should be female, since 0 and 1 can represent the phallic and sapphic nature of man and the universe.

They're releasing another female character as DLC this week if I'm not mistaken.

Of course, there are problems there too, though I won't go into that because then there will be frothing at the mouth and no one wants to clean that up.

IMO since Zero is a robot ('droid?) it can therefore can be assigned any gender you care to give.

There is no error here.

Wait, did they actually say Zero was a droid/robot? I never found all of the backstory Echos. I just continue under the impression that no one has any idea who or what Zero is.

Agreed. I kind of want to get the game just for Zer0, even though I know I'd be terrible at it. I don't do co-op or multi-player. D:

I thought Zer0 was the same sex as the Pyro; Eternally and deliberately ambiguous.

I had to rewatch the trailers several times in an attempt to figure out what gender Zer0 was. It came down to "I guess we'll play and find out".

And...I think male. But...I don't really know. >_>
