Word.

I keep hearing all this "Oh the Sherlock fandom are all bitching mysogonist homophobes" and the Elementary fandom is this "peaceful, harmonic place where no one fights and everyone is cool" - and yet the majority of secrets posted here lately and comments are the Elementary fandom bitching about Sherlock, not the other way around.

I'm not even in either fandom. Both shows are "meh" IMO.

DA: So you're going to make assumptions about both fandoms although you've never been in them? Good job.

For the record, a lot of the fandom wank between the two fandoms are on Tumblr. LJ and other places are pretty chill between the adaptations, and you might want to hang around ontd_deductions, where they like any and all Holmes adaptations.

lol. I wouldn't call the Elementary fandom peaceful and harmonic. But I do think that we have a legit gripe about all the hate that gets posted in the tag.

lol oh god, yeah, Elementary fans have been playing the martyr for actual months now. They act like they're victims, then go and create whole blogs just to make fun of BBC Sherlock fans and anyone who doesn't like their show for any reason. They also dogpile any dissenters they find with insults and accusations.

Can you blame them for making blogs to make fun of racist, sexist, classist Sherlock fans though? I'm sure they don't attack genuinely sane Sherlock fans.

Yeah, I especially like the way they tackle racism by making a tag to mock a Sherlock actor's skin colour : 'curdled milk oppa'.
It isn't about isms for the Elementers, it's about fandom wars, same as with Sherlock.

I'm sure people have posted on here about being attacked for posting a genuine, but negative, review of Elementary.
