Shit that you would only see in your fandoms

Kind of like a "shit _____ fans say", except more about what you see them do online in comms and fic and stuff instead of what they say. Also, more bitter and wanky.

Only in HIMYM fandom do fans need to use at least two, preferably three, tenses of verbs in every descriptive statement about the main character.

Chrono Crusade's the only fandom I know of that goes out of their way to use 1920s slang...but seems to forget that they used any other slang words besides "applesauce" and "Jake."

(I would say "this is partially the dub's fault" but the dub used plenty of other 20's slang words. Applesauce and Jake are just the only two that actually stuck in the fandom's heads, for some reason.)

As someone recently pointed out on here, only in Gundam Wing fandom do the pairings look like equations. (1x2xR with a side of 6x9 over 6x13 and then some 2x5 for giggles.)

At least in GW it makes some clear sense, the names are number based. Why the fuck segments of the Saiyuki fandom do this shit I will never figure out. Sanzo is 3, Hakkai is 8, and with 6 you get egg roll.

I can see Sanzo=3 because San=3 in Japanese. The rest? Iunno.

While the names in saiyuki aren't number based like in GW, they can translate to numbers in japanese. San = 3, Ha = 8 (there was even a short scene in the manga/anime where Hakkai joked about his name meaning eight), go = 5, ku (technically kyu) = 9. far as I remember (and it has been years ago) it was something that blew over from the japanese side of the fandom and was great for saving space in summaries.

Only in Marvel or DC comics can you handwave a fic premise by explaining that such-and-such a character is temporarily dead at the time. ;)

Only in Pokemon fandom do people get into bitter arguments about capitalization. (I only see it on FF.Net, though.)
