I totally get what you're saying. It's weird, but as a black person, I find when I see open, shameless bigots, I dislike it, but it doesn't make me physically mad. But when I have to deal with some obnoxious social-justice try-hard who exclaims profusely how not-racist they are while being a total ignoramus, it just makes my blood boil.
I dunno, maybe I just grew up to be desensitized to 'open' bigots, and these social-justice morons are just new to me.

Obviously I can't speak to your experience, but yeah, I can see where the hit you never saw coming from self declared "ally" who manages to be one part stupid and one part condescending would probably be a lot harder to deal with.

I think all to often people equate their views or their cause and make that the sum total of their character. Having a cause you believe in or a the right political views or whatever doesn't suddenly make you infallible or fully aware of jack shit, no matter how many people liked your blog on the subject. If anything, taking on something like that means you need to start actually looking into it beyond "yeah that sounds good!" So you know what the fuck you are talking about. That and remembering it doesn't give you carte blanche to do as thou wilt, cause your affiliations magically mean pulling bullshit is okay as long as it's against THEM.

And anybody who thinks a reference to a website is stanning, or defines a person based on a website they've mentioned they visit is a more irrationally judgmental type then I've ever tried to be. or would ever want to be. Nobody else has threads like "A mosquito is trying to bite your arm, use the random power generator wiki to see how fucked you are!"

But come on. I've said plenty of things in F!S that would hurt you right up your social justice warrior butt. At least come up with a reason to be asspained based on some shit I've actually said!
