The sick thing about it all is that college is becoming increasingly worthless for anything but getting a little piece of paper so employers will hire you.

The sad truth, this. And even acknowledging that, you have to have a very specific paper to be hired; a good three-quarters of the diplomas handed out are worth less than student loans.

Ugh, yes. I get really frustrated with people who say college is all about the experience, that you should study what interests you without worrying about your employment opportunities, etc.

fuck that. if college educations were reasonably priced then it wouldn't be an issue, but considering the debt the VAST majority of college students are going to rack up it's incredibly irresponsible to act as if the ~college experience~ alone is worth the exorbitant price.
