Sherlock fandom. A lower level of intelligence, maturity, and sanity than the bulk of fandoms out there. Both BBC Sherlock and Elementary suck equally bad, and it's fucking hilarious that a bunch of fangirls are too busy thinking with their clits to see it =D

"Than the bulk of fandoms"? Really? Either you've been in literally hundreds of fandoms or you need a little perspective.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Been in a LOT of fandoms over the course of not quite 20 years. Sherlock fandom houses the most hormone-crazed women with shit taste this side of Twilight.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Are you including SPN in that? Not trying to stir up trouble - just honestly curious.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. SPN fandom is at least mildly concerned with the story as well has how much they want to bang the actors. Sherlock and Twilight, not so much.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 12:15 pm (UTC)(link)
NA

Twilight was a crazy fandom before it had any actors.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
So, basically, you've never set foot in any band's fandom.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Bandom at the very least has some appreciation for the music. Sherlock fangirls really don't give a shit about anything beyond how much they'd like to bang Cumberbatch.

I think you need to hang out around the internet a little more.

At least ACD fans misuse sociological theories in their arguments. Such sophistication would be far beyond the capacity of shit like Bleach fandom, or kpop fandoms, or One Direction fandom, etc etc, who just scream obscenities at rival shippers like chimps flinging their filth.

Thank you, Supreme Arbiter of Television Quality, for making your declaration. Now that I know how you feel about two pieces of entertainment whose value is completely subjective, I no longer have to make up my own mind about them. And if something within me finds enjoyment in them, then I can rejoice in the fact that I have been told The Truth, and I can use said Truth to exercise discipline and pull myself away.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, someone's gotta show you brainless schlick-factories how to be discriminating.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 11:45 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not in either fandom. I just get annoyed when people behave as if what one watches on television is a mark of intelligence or lack thereof.

It's television. It exists solely for the purpose of entertainment. At the end of the day, whether you're watching a "high-brow" program or a "low-brow" program, you're still staring at a box.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-02 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
*shrug* To me, what you're entertained by says a lot about your intelligence and maturity.
