I'm honestly afraid of the bloodbath if S3 sketches out a more definitive love interest for either Derek or Stiles (that's not each other, obviously). On one hand, I eagerly await the impending wank; on the other... I like my fandoms whole and not in bloody tatters, man.

Thing is, Jeff Davis keeps flirting with that part of the fandom and I'm like "duuude, do you know what you're doing?". I suppose he gets a rush from the reactions, sure, but oh my God, please be not making any promises of a canon ship- which he hasn't yet, but still, people can take "maybes" to mean "yes" if they're overly optimistic.

Secretly, I'm hoping for either Stiles or Derek to get a boyfriend. In this way, the fandom will implode AND it's LGBT friendly enough that no one can use the whole "Sterek is gay rights!" thing.

And maybe it's my pessimism (like I said: wank is going to happen, and soon), but I think that even if the creator DOES end up doing Sterek, people are going to complain because they've idealized it and it will end up being different from their sparkly vision of ~true love~. So yeah - wank if it does happen, wank if it doesn't.

I hope for his sake Jeff Davis knows what he's doing.
