I'm more annoyed that they took away Watson's military career and medical license. THAT pissed me off. The genderswapping is secondary.

This.

We can't even have a female Dr. Watson be called "Dr. Watson." She has to be "Miss. Watson". So we're all aware that she's a woman! And incompetent.

Compare that to the male Watson's who are always respected as both soldiers and doctors, not to mention proud of it. Like in the BBC version where Sherlock asks; "You're a doctor. Any good?" Watson; "VERY good."

And for the record I did enjoy the Elementary pilot, but that does still annoy me.
