I don't know what the universities in your area are like, but around here, I've heard that first-level Organic Chem classes are often made intentionally difficult in order to select against people who aren't prepared to work hard in further hard sciences. It might be that you'll be okay in your other courses even if you struggle with this one.

I dropped Organic Chem due to stress and an insane prof, intending to pick it up in another semester. I never did, still got my degree and now I work in genetics, so whatevs.

Ugh, is that why my Ochem prof in undergrad frequently didn't teach me concepts in ways that I could understand until after I'd taken the tests on them? I thought he just sucked at differentiated instruction.

This sounds like my linear algebra class. My prof had good notes and all but honestly, some concepts made more sense two units later. Sigh.
