work in patient care? that sounds like it would still count as what you were trained for.

but yeah about the relocating. I would nearly die if I was forced out of Houston, but if pushed far enough I would always choose self preservation. only you can decide that. some places allow relocation assistance, but for a CNA it wouldn't be much. at least it would be tax deductible.

I guess above all, stay current on all your certifications and CEUs. try to see if your library (or community college if you have the cash) has any classes to brush up on. like Excel or a foreign language. maybe coding or med term. the college here has short courses on things like "Spanish for the health industry".
