Re: Favorite old adventure game
(Anonymous) 2012-10-04 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)If you didn't know (or if anyone else cares), there's three different remakes available with graphics. afaik, 2 are playable online, coming from a contest held by the BBC for the 20th anniversary, but besides the graphics are still the same game. The 3rd is downloadable for Windows, created via AGS, making it point-and-click. Haven't tried it, but apparently it's relatively faithful, though it seems to have a regular and an easy mode.

Re: Favorite old adventure game
I originally played this on a TRS-80. I loved the game but didn't get to play it again until Infocom brought out their Treasure Box collection in the late 80's or early 90's. I never got far but it was one heck of a way to kill some time.
Did you ever die in front of the bulldozer and hve the game scold you for trying to interact? I laughed sooo hard at that.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-05 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)(Sorry for the ol' thread necromancy -- I just saw this response and had to go back and try, since it's been so long and I didn't remember that ending. That is some delightfully impish game-writing. :D )
