Re: What was the last book that left you disgusted? And why?
I can't really think of books right now, but I remember reading a short story called "Zwerg" about a girl with dwarfism. I was okay with the descriptions of her shitty abusive childhood because I thought she'd grow stronger or find some way to kick people's asses. Nope. Next came a very graphic gang rape. I will never forget the specific taunt -- "let's see how far apart her legs go!" I still remember it sometimes and feel sick.
I can't even remember how it ended but I was stunned. I hadn't thought that anyone could write anything out of pure sadism, but... I could find nothing redeeming in that story.
