I saw Atlantis:The Lost Empire for the first time just now...I can compare the plot to a Jenga game - wonder aloud why you're watching it, and then it suddenly crumbles in the latter half.

But the animation is SO PRETTY.

It was! I also loved how Kida (The little we saw of her being a person), was incredibly lively and hasty and outgoing.

I just couldn't stop seeing Milo as Daniel Jackson.

There was no distinction between them in my mind as a kid. Like 'This is Daniel if he had discovered Atlantians instead of space Egyptians. Kida is jus a badass Sha-re'. I was a hardcore AU fan before I even knew other people also made up stories about their favourite characters.

I went to see Pitch Perfect last weekend, and it was basically everything everyone told me Bridesmaids would be, PLUS SINGING. Like, awesome female friendships and lots of funny lines and there was a romantic subplot, but it was never the focus of the movie and it never needed to be.

I was watching The Terminator this morning. Still very entertaining.

The last new movie I saw... I can't remember. (Zardoz doesn't count, I think, since it was a Shit Stream thing. I kind of liked it though.)

OH! I watched Earth Girls are Easy the other day on Netflix. Why didn't anyone tell me what I was missing? It was really fun.

Like last movie you've never seen before, or just the last movie you watched?

Last movie I watched: Charley and the Chocolate Factory. Say what you will I just like it better than Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Last movie I saw that I'd never seen before: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, when it came out. I was disappointed, I really, really prefer the book.

I love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! It actually used to be one of my favorite books, too, that and The Witches. :D

Cowboy and Aliens. I didn't like how the movie just ended like that. Save the day and ride off into the sunset. Wait, a minute. You just battled aliens. How about sticking around and making sure another scout ship doesn't come around?

But up until then, I was into it.

Hotel Transylvania. I loved it.

Wow, I can't even remember. In theaters it was Dark Knight Rises, but outside that IDK.

I know the next movie I'm going to watch though: Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. It's waiting on my DVR.

The Avengers. It was fun!

This is the next film I'm going to watch (again)! :D Love it!

The Trial, 1962 movie by Orson Welles.

It's weird.

Farewell, My Queen.

It was a beautifully sensual film. I loved the outsider perspective of the queen's reader, Sidonie. Her love for Marie Antoinette is what drives the narrative, as everything Sidonie does is, ultimately, for her.

Hmm... I think that would be Captain America. The new one. Much better than the last Captain America movie I saw, back in the 90s when we were getting hints that there might be an X-Men movie, and the entirety of Marvel fandom was like "........not sure if want?" because Marvel, at that time, had really only been made into some pretty terrible movies. I heard that the Captain America movie was particularly awful and my brother and I rented it for lulz.

My, how things have changed... One of these days I will have the spoons to sit through another action movie without a panic attack, and then I can watch Thor, and then, maybe, FINALLY, I can see the Avengers movie too. :P

Icon love! And yes, the first Captain America movie was a godawful waste of time.
