I just did a Google image search for "80's hair" and the first several images look like the women got to third base with a light socket while they were tentacle sexed by live wire cables. So, I think teasing your hair up with some hairspray would be appropriate for the theme.

This. I was actually going to say that I think you hair sounds like it might be perfect to tease up into a side ponytail. :-)

I don't think my hair is long enough for a side ponytail. :(

Strands keep slipping out when I try one, and that's without the teasing.

The headband idea sounds good, too--just make sure the hair around is is big. :-)

I guess the difference is that their hair looks like fun had been had with all whereas my thryst with the socket ended in an inability to look each other in the eye and leaves mutual friends wondering why you are suddenly avoiding each other.

If anon's idea of a headband doesn't work out I might have to hunt my sister down to tease my hair for me, though. She at least knows what she's doing.
