spiders
Today's spider are funnel web spiders. It's an interesting group, with the one's in most of the world not being venomous (except for the Hobo spider). When people think of dangerous funnel web spiders, their usually thinking about the Australian funnel webs, who actually belong to a different family. These funnel webs, the Hexathelidae, are highly venomous, though modern medical techniques have done away with their bite being fatal.
