Looking up anything for my weird cast fetish makes me feel like I'm going to get in some horrible accident any day now.

Think of it this way. Why would something like fate actually exist? And why only for humans, who are just animals themselves? Decisions can lead to bad outcomes, but there is no guiding hand going to smack you upside the head if it feels you've wronged the universe.

Rationally, I know there's no such thing as fate or luck, it's all just coincidence and chance. But I still almost habitually / unconsciously believe in the existence of fate. So you're not alone I guess.

Or maybe we're just weirdos.

I like to consider myself a skeptic and a rational person, but I never say "it can't get any worse".
