Hey fs, what are some good iPod touch apps? This is my first Apple product and I've no idea what to do. Your expertise is much appreciated.

What are you looking for? games (what genre)? utility? something else?

Most of my friends have Android phones or old style iPods so I don't know what kinds of apps are there for iPod touch. A bit of everything to start with, perhaps? Something useful or fun but not necesarily games.

my favourite app on my phone is the one for kindle. i already had tons of ebooks downloaded so it was super convenient. i also have ones for tumblr and facebook, and one to have a piano on my phone because it's fun. :)

What's the difference between a tumblr/facebook app and using Safari to browse tumblr/facebook?

I have a lot of ebooks (and fanfics) saved as epub, pdf, and html files. Can the kindle app open them or do I have to change them to kindle format first? Is there a generic ebook reader for iPad?

The problem with the best, non-affiliated ebook reader apps is that amazon and so on buy then up when they get successful and then break them.

You can get apps that work like graphical calculators, you can get apps to watch TV, you can get apps that store PDFs, you can get musical instruments and games. If you're religious, there are handy apps to help you access relevant texts and things. There are comic book readers. What sort of thing do you want?

I recommend going to the app store and looking at the top free apps, and also searching on all sorts of terms that you wonder "might there be an app that...". Even just searching on "games" throws stuff up.

Oh, and I still love Plants vs Zombies.
