That's kind of super-adorable OP. :) And it's pretty natural to want to explore characters' possible hidden depths and facets, so no it's not that weird. She seems like the kind of person who could be kind of sweet if you managed to get her to really trust you, 'cause when she's alone and no one's looking, she shows a definite soft side.
elaminator: (Iron Man: Pepperoni being adorable)

I came here to say this very thing! :D

Yes! And i wish people would - i'm kind of tired of her being written as a humorless, uber-scary, unemotional killing machine. She might be that while she's fighting or spying, but she's had moments on screen of humor and emotion and to take that away from her in her 'downtime' really irks me.
intrigueing: (no hard feelings point break)

OMG are you me? I hate the emotionless!robot!scary!Natasha trope. It's how she acts on the job, yeah, but honestly that just makes the possibility for contrast better. And those little moments she got when she wasn't putting on a mask were so great -- the "oh god" whimper when Coulson tells her to go recruit Bruce, joking with Steve before they enter the Helicarrier, that relieved smile when Tony falls back through the portal....

Yes! The little grin she can't suppress when Tony comes blasting in, AC/DC on the PA, her dry aside to Steve about how 'proud' Coulson is of his Captain America cards....

Other most hated thing? When she's written as biting anybody's head off - including Steve - if they *dare* hold a door for her or treat her in a remotely 'feminine' manner. Arrgh, that annoys me.

Yess, this. I loved her because she was well-rounded in that way. Like, the scene with Clint after he gets un-brainwashed. Seriously, I don't get how you can watch that and come away with that she's an unemotional killing machine. I did love, though, that she compartmentalized and did not totally break down at really stupid points like action movies are so oft to do with their female characters.

(Also, why the fuck do I have no Avengers icons? Must rectify this.)
