Any other women have trouble with excessive sweat?

(Anonymous) 2012-10-06 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey ladies, does anyone else here have to deal with constant pit stains? I use clinical strength deodorant (I've tried Degree and Dove and I think Secret), but I still sweat through my shirts almost daily unless I awkwardly sit with my elbows out. I don't know if every woman secretly deals with this or if it's just me. I'm open to any deodorant suggestions from anyone fighting the same issue.

(Also, I've checked with my doctor, and the problem isn't serious enough to have any procedures done or anything like that.)

I have this problem. I'm also apparently allergic to aluminum that is in a lot of antiperspirants and so use only deodorant, not a combo.

Sorry I have no advice, but you are definitely not the only one dealing with this. I 100% choose my wardrobe based on hiding pit stains and what is less likely to show sweat.

Dropping in to say, I do but only as of this past summer. Never before in my life have I had this problem and it's starting to really upset me because I'm 28 ffs and so I feel like this shouldn't be a thing.
This is my long winded way of saying, I feel you and seconding the call for help!!

Underarm garment guard pads: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=underarm+guard+pads

They really work well.

Had this too (since I hit puberty - huge pit stains - hyperhidrosis) and it was so bad that I was wearing a t-shirt under my shirt/pullover etc. with these pads (mentioned in above comment). Problem: I couldn't put these pads directly under the one shirt I was wearing because they are huge and you could see that there was something under your shirt - so I had to wear two shirts on top of each other (very practical on a hot summer day...).
One day I found an article about sweat-off (a deo with aluminium chloride) and I didn't have much hope but bought it and tried it anyway. It helps! The feeling when you can once again wear every shirt without the fear of pit stains! I was so happy (yeah that sounds sappy but I was thinking at that time that my only solution was to have the sweat glands removed surgically).
I'm using this deo now for a few years (you only have to apply the deo every few weeks) and I didn't have one "relapse". There are other deos which are working with the same concept.

I use Driclor once weekly, and Rexona every day, just before I go out. I find the combination works pretty well to keep the sweating at bay.

If you're just starting out with Driclor, you'll probably want to use it consecutively for a few days to get the sweating under control first, then slowly move to a weekly schedule for maintenance. And use your usual deodorant before you go out for a little extra assurance!

syneo5

HAD the same. I use "syneo5". It's a bit expensive, but you only use to once every five days and it works like a charm.
Don't know what caused it with me, haven't been to the doctor's about it, but a friend recommended it and I haven't gone back.

While googling it, I found it's German? http://www.syneo.de/ I can buy it in drugstores (Dutchie here), but it looks like they have a online shop.
This one works GREAT for me: http://www.syneo.de/syneo-5-pumpspray-unisex.html
I love it that they have a MAN version. FOR MANLY MAN
