Neither one is wrong.
Except when they are wrong and a ship will never ever happen. Not that that should stop people from enjoying themselves, but I think some people put too much expectations for a ship to be real and make themselves miserable.

I think maybe you read that wrong or I didn't make myself clear. I meant that seeing chemistry in the scenes between Stiles and Derek is just as valid as not seeing it, since chemistry is one of those intangibles. That doesn't mean they're canon or going to be canon. As far as I'm concerned, unless (believably) shown on screen or stated on screen, it's not canon.
