Hey OP, for what it's worth, I don't think there's anything wrong with asking people to check their privilege. But if that's what you want to do, be straightforward about it. What I see you doing in this thread is saying either, "Holy shit!" or "Ehh, not deprived" when people tell you about experiences that were hard for them, and that really looks like you passing judgment on them based on your own experiences.

I've been in threads about trauma that went kind of the same way, and it makes me really uncomfortable. So I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but the way your responses have been so far, it doesn't make me inclined to tell you anything about my life.
