Ahhh, my OTP ♥♥ Few things make me as frustrated as knowing that Troy/Abed will never be canon. They are a perfect match together, they get each other perfectly, and with all of the season four rumors making it seem like they won't be as close, I get so upset. If they can't be canon, I want them to at least be as close as always as friends.

This is the only pairing that has ruined season speculation for me. Most shows I have things I like and I get a little disappointed if they aren't explored or are neglected but this time around I'm way too invested. I just want to rip it off like a bandaid so it'll be overrrrr.

My sister keeps telling we should look on the bright side and realize worst case scenario means fandom will have to step up and fill the Trobed void with fanworks instead of being complacent and giggly.

I want to believe but I think I've been spoiled by having so much lovely in canon this far.

It is not the same. I want to be complacent and giggly from canon :/ I agree I have been spoiled by it too.

i hoped the same thing would happen with turk and jd from scrubs, but alas :'[

Pretty much nothing that's been speculated about this upcoming season has interested me, except for the premise of the Halloween episode (they go through Pierce's creepy mansion :DDDD). I've never been so disappointed that a pairing I ship won't be canon as I am with Trobed.

This is actually the only time I've ever been remotely interested in a pairing becoming canon. I've actively hated the idea in the past.

And I'm with you on the Halloween ep. being the only one I'm finding interesting. I haven't really been disappointed by Community yet so I look forward to seeing how they pull off the other concepts but I'm just not clicking with them yet.

Mostly I blame biohazardgirl for indulging me with meta discussions that let me overthink everything. I'm in a very SKY IS FALLING AND NOTHING WILL BE GOOD AGAIN mood today. >:)

Pretty much for me too. Usually I just don't care one way or another, even if I generally like a ship but I am legitimately disappointed that this will never be.

I'm sorry for putting you in a bad mood with meta! I didn't mean to I just overthink stuff CONSTANTLY because while I am consuming media for the first time I don't question anything at all and then when I step back I'm like I MUST TALK ABOUT ALL THE THINGS.

Also the only one I'm really invested in is the Inspector Spacetime episode.

It's not your fault! I love having a friend to talk about this stuff with but I keep re-reading and obsessing because I have no self-control.

I'm interested in the Inspector Spacetime but I haven't really seen the angle yet (and I'm trying to downplay Trobed expectations so I will be pleasantly surprised).

I'm mostly excited over the Halloween episode because it seems like it'll be more group-centric instead of having splinter storylines.

Aw you're not excited for the Inspector Spacetime convention? That's the one I'm looking forward to the most but to each his own :D

Eh, I feel like the Inspector Spacetime joke has kind of run it's course, and I love to see Troy and Abed obsessed with a new thing this season. Like, season one had Kickpuncher, season two has Cougar Town, and season three had Inspector Spacetime, so season four should have something new. Also, they're doing a story line where Abed makes a new friend and Troy gets jealous, and I'm nhft. I just want them cosplaying and having a great time together, maybe making weird new friends in a way with no jealousy since they've moved past that by now. It could be good though, and I am interested to see how they portray the weirdness of conventions.

No arguments this time, just general getting distance because Troy and Abed need to 'grow up' which entails both of them getting love interests I guess.

Because men can't have close life-long friends, oh no. That would just be terrible.

I didn't say they couldn't? I'm just saying that the show is intentionally pushing them apart in various ways.

Me too, the idea of them growing apart and Troy moving out and all that will entail is genuinely heartbreaking to me.

They would have to take all of their pictures out of shared! Have half of duo cosplay costumes! Who would get the vending machine sticker on the fridge with both of their faces on it? Who would get the Marylin Monroe esque poster with both of their faces on it?

Who would help Abed pay parking tickets and who would watch Kickpuncher with Troy?

If they ever move out I will write all the epic sleepover fic. With my tears.

Computers are handy because you can cry while writing and not smudge anything.

hopefully their seperation is all just build-up towards a teary and beautiful reunion in which troy leaps into abed's arms and they wonder how they could've ever been so stupid and hey lets lets go have a blanket-fort wedding and BAM SEASON FINALE

Okay. Massive brain fart.

I tried to figure out what theoretical physics had to do with the conversation and then just googled "dirac" because I thought it might be an acronym for something. Didn't find anything so I came back to reread the context and... realized dirac is the username you were replying to. *facepalm*

That's what I was hoping the blanket fort war would be, but the tension from that episode was never really resolved. I like a little drama, seeing their friendship tested so that it can be made stronger, but only if they become closer in the end. I don't like the idea that growing away from Abed is good for Troy :( Your ending sounds beautiful and perfect and I wish it were canon ♥♥
