Then later I heard a little more about it and apparently they're making the Beast a jerk in personality too. Great. If she just loves him enough she can change him. That doesn't sound like an abusive relationship at all.

I mean, besides all of the unfortunate implications stuff, how is any of this new? Exciting? Different? Could I pop in the Disney film and generally get the same experience? Or read one of the original stories? What makes this reboot stand out? What makes it worth watching?
It doesn't seem like they're pushing any envelopes here or toeing any lines.
