12. STFU. What about people who weren't even alive until after G1 ended? People who watched Beast Wars or the newer series when they were little and loved them, and who just never felt like getting into G1? People who have no way to watch G1? People whose personal taste just doesn't include G1? Man, why can't I be in an equal opportunity fandom for once.

And for the record, I love G1. AND the newer series.

I'm with you. My son got into Transformers via Cybertron and is now a devotee...but he's never seen G1 because I don't have the money for it.

Also, my local Hollywood video doesn't carry any anime and my Blockbuster doesn't carry anything I haven't already seen. My interests aren't completely narrowed down to Adult Swim anime (why hallo thar Ouran!) but they aren't all that broad because it's hard for me to get a hold of stuff.

If it wasn't for Toonami (wow, showing my age) I would never have gotten into anime at all.
