The one thing that will unite all of F!S; badly designed secrets.

looks like the x-files secrets' font too

(Anonymous) 2012-10-08 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
A white, opaque box containing black text in a simple font. Give it a try.

Great Icon! And yeah, awful font. I'm starting think we're being font trolled.

Bahahaha, I love this. I think it was TWoP that pointed out that it would've been a huge news story, a plane full of baby-saving surgeons going down and then being found.

(also, yes, that font = NAGL)

(Anonymous) 2012-10-08 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Why? I'm serious in asking that. Would it be better for Meredith or another victim of the crash to walk in on gossip about Lexie and Mark's doomed love or Cristina drinking her urine and pulling bugs out of Arizona's leg wound, rather than "I heard they were out there for a week"? The new interns are whiny little shits and they shouldn't have to immediately know the TMI about their superiors in order to grow spines and stop expecting to be handheld through their surgeries.

And just in case you haven't heard it enough yet, your secret formatting is shitty.

Because, as la_petite_singe pointed out above, something as dramatic as a plane going down in the wilderness and most of the passengers miraculously surviving despite some serious injuries and multiple days of exposure would be all over the local news at the very least. I'm not saying the intern should've known every gory pee-drinking bug-filled-wounds detail, but she talked about it like it was some minor gossipy thing that nobody really knew about when realistically the story would have been widely known at that point, especially at the hospital all of the crash victims work/ed at.

But yes, the new interns are whiny and annoying and the formatting of the secret sucks.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-08 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Because it doesn't fucking make sense that a huge plane crash with famed surgeons in it goes down and they need to be rescued without it being a huge news story. The interns don't need to know the details, but 'they were out' is a dumb ass cover up and lazy writing.

I thought it was ludicrous for the interns to wonder if Meredith became harsh because of the plane crash. Or, could it have been the mass-murderer who stalked through the hospital killing doctors three years before? Or the time when she had to operate on a person with a live bomb inside their body that eventually blew up inside the hospital?

Like, seriously, you start a medical program at a hospital, you should kinda know its history. Like the national news-worthy events that have happened in the past eight years.

I think this is why I've been side-eyeing a lot of this season so far.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-08 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just surprised that they had zero clue, let alone any more details. (like, I'm sure Chief and Bailey and Owen cut way down on the gossip that normally keeps Seattle Grace-Mercy West's walls standing, but that they wouldn't know bare details...?)

Like, the one girl who did the appendectomy, during the silent scene when she was like "WHY IS SHE SO MEAN?!?!" Well, tough shit that you didn't pay attention to the news about the hospital YOU WERE GOING TO BE WORKING AT. You get to be the whipping girl because you don't have a spine and you're clueless. And an intern.

DIAF!!

STOP.

FORMATTING.

YOUR SECRETS.

THIS WAY.

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY.

FONTS

(Anonymous) 2012-10-09 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Ok, can people please stop using that font, please? It's cropping up a lot lately and it makes things too hard to read. There are plenty of free programs online that let you put text over images. Might I suggest picfont?

Beyond that. Love of god, Technophile/Case, please just failbar this fool as unreadable until they stop.
