I'm asexual and a huge slash fan, and I think the thing I like about slash is that I am completely removed from the equation. There are NO female genitals! It's pretty much impossible for me to imagine myself in either character's position, and that's why I love it.

Also, I do fixate on celebrities and fictional character, but mostly because they are safe. I won't ever have to explain to Robert Downey Jr. that I find him attractive but don't want to have sex with him.

Yes, real life relationships are scary. Because real life people expect a relationship to include sex, and won't want to be in one otherwise. How do you explain to a guy that you love him, but really just don't like sex? It ruins relationships. It hurts feelings on both sides. So yeah, I'm scared of real life relationships, because they hurt.

Would just like to say that you perfectly outlined how I feel about shipping even as an asexual. I have felt guilty before about pretty much only shipping slash, but I think I know why I do that now.

I actually have like two robot ships, but usually it's robot/human.

I can't even do human ships any more haha
