I suppose there are some people who just cling to fictional relationship because they find real relationships intimidating(and as I am not entirely sure whether I'm interested in sex or not, I could very well be one of those people), but why assume? You can't just snap your fingers and say, "Suddenly I am Sherlock and everyone is like an open book to me because people only behave one way under these circumstances." You'll never actually understand anyone if you side-eye people like this.
