....boring??!

you must have only read up to act 1 or something because i think homestuck is anything other than boring! really the whole thing is batshit insane in about 500 ways. But okay. That's.... sure. you... you can have that opinion. I'm just going to be confused by it. =P

And I'm confused by people saying i need to suffer sooo much shit to get to the good parts of the story. What, do you watch one shitty season of a tv show just because someone said season 2 is good? No, if a watch/read something and i don't like i'm not going to continue. And if you homestuck fans would just get that and stop bothering people who don't want to do that, that would be really great.

woah there chill. Firstly, some people do watch first seasons even if they're not good because the later ones are better? maybe not if they're shitty, but sometimes it takes a while for shows and books to pick up. I think you can miss out on good things if you immediately disregard them during the first few chapters/episodes or whatever, but if that's how you roll it's fine I guess.
Idk you sound pretty angry about this and I wasn't trying to bother you myself? though I get that it could be annoying if people continued to harass you about it. Homestuck isn't for everyone and I can say for myself that I didn't understand it much upon first reading. Sure it might seem like it's not worth it if it seems like it is so difficult, but there is also that thing of getting enjoyment out of succeeding in doing something that seems impossible (in this case, reading all of Homestuck. Because it's long. And often confusing.)

Also in terms of me not thinking it's boring, I guess I meant more along the lines of the plot itself not being boring. It's anything but boring! But if you are bored personally by reading it, that's a different thing- the style could not work for you at all and bore you, sure. I just don't think the plot is by any stretch of the imagination boring.

And on a final note, I don't really think it's a case of having to suffer "so much shit to get to the good parts". Because Homestuck is a very slow-burning story with lots of different plot lines and timelines happening all at the same time, so it's not very linear in terms of story telling. I don't really think there's any one point where you can go "oh man, this is where Homestuck finally gets good!" Because... good bits can be found everywhere throughout the story.

Ok, I'm done. /ollies out
