Because asexuals shortened it, not other people?

DA

Kind of adds to the "special snowflake" argument, that...

DA from everyone: That, or implies they're too lazy to type the letters. Although I doubt it's coincidence that they chose a term and spelling which means "expert".

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2012-10-09 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Or they just wanted to shorten it and "a" or "asex" sounds fucking stupid?

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2012-10-09 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
SA

So why substitute the "c"? No, they wanted a term that meant something.

You sound a bit like a conspiracy theorist lol

It's probably because ase sounds like ace. Plus they can have an ace of spades as a symbol.

Right.

Uh. Going back to "special snowflake".

(frozen comment) da

(Anonymous) 2012-10-09 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Sure.

All asexuals who may use a term used in the asexuality community since 2001 and is used in pretty much all casual asexual dialogue are all special snowflakes

yep

makes sense
/all the sarcasm

... this is awkward, but i said that before i read the rest of your comments in this thread

i didn't realize you weren't being facetious.

(frozen comment) IT'S COOL YO

[personal profile] tyger66 2012-10-09 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, it happens. I was actually being a little facetious. I'm a bit in the middle of the road about some of this stuff, and I feel excessive labeling is a problem, especially on the internet. Does everyone actually need their own symbol? Really? (But yeah, firmly against the OP of the secret)

It's cool if you don't agree with anything I've said, though. I'm just one person, and my view is definitely not objective when it comes to issues of sexual orientation & such.

Still, glad I gave you a laugh.
