(Anonymous) 2012-10-09 01:49 am (UTC)(link)Additionally, arranging a musical piece for a different set of instruments does not inherently "butcher" the original composition any more than translating a work from one language to another inherently "butchers" the original (although it certainly can be in the hands of a poor translator). It's a legitimate and often necessary practice.
