Yea, I was going to suggest that they could talk about it here, but that's not exactly the best support network, and it might not be something they feel comfortable with discussing. (Which is totally understandable.)

Anon's advice seems pretty sound imo, but if you don't have support groups near you (or don't want to be involved with a face-to-face support group) maybe you should look for one online? That might be easier since you're trying to keep it a secret.

I'm sorry about your friend, though. :/ Hope everything works out for you anon! No one should have to be alone, unless they want to.
