I think it's next to impossible to go through a situation like this and not be at least a bit changed by it. And forgetting is not easy. You would think that after a certain amount of time that most of the pain would pass, but it can creep up on you in unexpected moments. :/

I cherish your hug anon, and return it with full force. ♥ And hey, you should be proud of yourself for getting through it. Again...I know how hard it can be to step up and leave that sort of relationship, so you were really brave imo and did the right thing.
