Yesterday's flap over secret #3 (OP made music arrangement for friend, friend posted it as her own) made me think about this again.

I'm really annoyed with the idea that you don't really care about your creative work if you want recognition for it. TBH, I suspect that we've been told this so many times--along with the idea that ~good women are supposed to be modest and humble, and the idea that you're not supposed to care that much about the things you do for fun--that many of us feel obliged to pretend we don't care about being rewarded for our work even when we do.

Thoughts?
