Haven't seen the film, but could you explain what The Good Soldier has to do with it? I'm curious now.

It doesn't have much to do with the book except that one guy, who appeared to be a good guy at first impression, turned out to be a really bad guy. But you don't even feel accomplished for putting together the parallels because the movie literally spells it out for you (there's this convenient little book club that Rory and Jake Jagielski are in).
