Comic lore is often as contradictory as the actual myth. Hela is supposedly oldLoki's daughter. Leah was... made out of Hela's hand, literally. And kidLoki is a reincarnation.

With the way things are going incest is the least of their worries, really.

I, too, prefer them as a non-romantic couple. In my case it's mainly because Loki so rarely had friends over the years... it's nice that he has at least one.

I feel pretty much the same about this pairing. Their relationship is definitely one of my favourite parts of the comic. And even though they'd possibly make a really cute couple, and I ship them slightly in fanart and fanfic, I'm just so happy that she isn't just another Love Interest, but his friend. His best and most likely only friend, who just happens to be female. It's really the most wonderful thing.
