You may not like it, OP, but you need to respect the wishes of the actress. If she's uncomfortable with it, then they really can only either force her to do it (uh, way creepy there), or back off, or fire her. Of those three, only one of those makes you not a shitty human being to pursue.

No it's not called acting. You can't force actors to do things, it's not slavery. They still have a say. Especially in that sort of show, it's not like auditioning for a play where you know you are playing that character and wouldn't expect to change anything. In a long running show actors do stand up for themselves and change things, of course they do. It's incredibly creepy to even imagine forcing someone to play a romantic scene with another actor if they don't want to and probably would be a breach of employment laws, it's a type of harassment or bullying of an employee.

No, it's not slavery. It's a job. Plenty of actors have done storylines they didn't like or they didn't think their characters would do. Actors can object if they want to, but the writers aren't obligated to change their storylines for them.
