I can't explain why that appeals to me even though I would find the exact same thing unappealing if it was two men. But it's definitely not because I want my femmeslash to be heteronormative (if that was true, I don't think I would get squicked by het where the man tops).

Thank you. I get so tired of the assumption that there is only one explanation for a masculine person topping a feminine one, kids, and it is HETERONORMATIVITY.

Blagsahjadf. Tell that to the butch and femme dykes who were hearing it from other, more proper lesbians in the '80s.

"Know your real-world history" is pretty much all that I can think of to say when I come across the assumption that heteronormativity is the only explanation. (And your science, too -- I do think that some of this stuff, in SOME BUT DEFINITELY NOT ALL AND MAYBE NOT MOST EITHER real live people, has roots in biology.)
