Yeah. Basically she took money for a book she never finished when she fucked off. Leaving her publisher to not only take the shit, but ultimately to give everybody refunds.

I respect any artists work is done when they say it's done, and we are entitled to nothing... right up until you are paid to do a fucking job. Then your bullshit drama is irrelevant, you finish your shit or you pay for it.

She fucking flaked. She flaked before, but this time it fucked people over. Bitch doesn't deserve any more chances.

Those were theories made up by fans and completely false. Not only did 4DE discredit them (She was paid, she was not in a lawsuit, she wasn't disallowed from finishing her products) THEY had to tell her fans she was alive, since she wouldn't do it herself. They also had to refund everyone who preordered the artbooks she didn't finish or sign, and the volume one books. Not only that but other wellknown 4DE authors backed them up-The author of Lackadaisy Cats and The Meek to name a few.

There was nothing stopping her from finishing, aside from apathy. She had had four comics before this one, all she quit due to boredom. HINABN was just the last in a string of trashed projects. That would have been fine if she hadn't made it her job-and screwed not only her fans but the small publishing company out of a ton of money.

Some of those theories were about her screwing people over, some about the publishers, some about the fanbase. The list is long and boring. I remember Butler/Helmer backing 4DE up, so I guess that's as close as I'll get to proof. I just didn't want to rely on a mess of speculation.

Well, I realize text on the interent isn't veracity, but it's a public fact that the last book wasn't finished, yes? And the comic sure did stop!

Don't care what her explanation is, honestly. She should have offered it at the time if she wanted it to matter.

Who was the only person to give a response? Who had to give customers refunds? Who stated they couldn't deliver a product because it wasn't done? The publisher. These are not theories, these are facts.

There was the claim for a while she was depressed or something and that gave her an out. A lot of people had seen her at cons since she dropped off the face of the internet. It seems if she has some kinda of massive anxiety that prevents her from doing something one it gets too popular she might.. I dunno... finish something before publishing it.

Was there ever any evidence that she was depressed/has anxiety problems though? Because the only thing I've heard is people say "oh well she MUST have depression or have some kind of severe anxiety disorder! poor thing". It's kind of sad that people automatically assume that a flakey person has depression. Uh, what? Maybe they're just unreliable? It happens.

...Then she should have not made the commitment/accepted payment before it was done. She knew that had a habit of happening, as someone pointed out she had multiple comics she'd dropped like this before. She couldn't make the claim 'I didn't know!' since, after 3 or so other times, there no real way she *couldn't* have know that.
