yeah i can't get behind any snape ships either. they all seem to rub me the wrong way, and the guy strikes me as miserable through-and-through and the only thing i can see coming out of a relationship with him is more misery.

and mind you, it's not that i hate the character and personally want him to suffer or anything.

ah, i'm sure it can be used as good writing material! i suppose i should've mentioned that i'm not really one for those kinds of stories haha which might be able to explain why i can't ship him with anyone (usually i can only really handle heart-wrenching stories if at the end i'm still able to believe that some sort of happy ending is possible, opps?). i do acknowledge that there are people who enjoy shipping snape with other characters because of how frustratingly sad it can be.

Then the story above is definitely not for you. I was emotionally numb for a couple of hours after reading it.

The frustratingly sad part is one of the reasons I enjoy reading Snarry. Fandom is very thorough and entertaining, not to mention heart-yanking, with their exploration of how fucked up the Snape/Harry dynamic can be.
