Yeah, the video doesn't exactly apply to you but weirder things than rocks have rained down from the sky before (live crabs, frogs, and fish). I still think a prankster is probably the most likely cause, given what we know about the world so far. It's not like the person had to throw the rocks by hand... they could have been testing a rock-throwing piston or something and they were doing it at night because there was less chance of injuring someone then than testing it during the day. I don't know. :(
